2nd edition of CPLP Summer Breeze Festival 2024

The second edition of the CPLP Summer Breeze Festival 2024 took place on 15th June, offering an unforgettable weekend celebrating Lusophone culture in all its vibrancy.

Ordsall Park in Salford became the epicentre of Portuguese-speaking communities, hosting a diverse programme that included live music performances, DJ sets, traditional food stalls, information booths, services, a funfair, family entertainment, dance groups, and much more.

Attendees were treated to live performances by renowned artists such as Beto Dias, Jalex, Filipe Santo, Miriam Monteiro, and Débora Schneider, among many others. The festival also featured engaging workshops in Batuku, Afrofitness and demonstrations of Bollywood dance and drums, providing a perfect opportunity for visitors to immerse themselves in the diversity and richness of Lusophone culture while enjoying a festive and welcoming atmosphere.

The event, which ran from 10:00 to 20:00, drew crowds from across the region. It showcased the growing interest in and appreciation for Portuguese-speaking cultures in the UK. Visitors praised the variety of activities and the inclusive nature of the festival, which catered to all age groups and interests.
